PROJECT TITLE: 納米催化劑:空氣淨化 Nanocatalysts: Air Remediation

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
香港科技大學化學工程系及納米材料技術研發所楊經倫教授所領導的研究小組成功地研制了一種新型的納米催化劑環保系統,該系統的核心主要由高效納米催化劑和納米孔吸附劑組成。 實驗結果表明,這種新型環境控制系統可以礦化降解甲醛、一氧化碳、有味物和生物微粒等空氣污染物。其最大的優點是可在低溫下消除各類空氣污染物,且毋需紫外光源。通過加入本研究所發展的納米催化系統,可以將普通的抽濕機改裝成具有淨化功能的空氣淨化機,並可應用於淨化諸如家庭,診所,餐廳,廚房等場所的室內空氣。該項目由香港創新科技署資助。我們竭誠歡迎各廠商垂詢合作。
Technology: Environmental control system for the remediation of indoor air pollution was developed using room temperature nanocatalysts and efficient nanoporous adsorbents. Latent germicidal properties of the nanomaterials were established using natural and pathogenic bioaerosols. Prototype devices were built and demonstrated to be effective in killing airborne microorganisms, destroying organic and malodorous pollutants and reducing carbon monoxide. Advantage: Capable of decontaminating a wide range of airborne pollutants at low temperatures without UV Applications: Portable or centralized air purification for homes, offices, shopping malls, theaters and restaurants Deodorizer and bio-safeguard for marketplace, clinic and hospital
