DESCRIPTION: 香港科技大學機械工程系吳景深教授與化學工程系陳志明教授領導的研究小組開發出一種塑料/納米粘土复合材料制造新技術。通過對粘土顆粒進行化學處理﹐可將其均勻分散至各類塑料基体中形成納米复合材料。
均勻分散的納米粘土可极大地提高复合材料的力學性能和熱穩定性、 加強其對气体, 水和碳氫化合物的阻隔能力、提高其使用溫度,
耐火和抗磨損性能。 因此, 塑料/納米粘土复合材料可以用于食品的包裝, 汽車零件的制造, 微電子器件封裝,
家用電器材料及醫用塑料制品。与其它粘土复合技術相比,我們發展的新技術具有使用有机添加劑少,熱穩定性高,無毒性和低加工成本等特點。我們竭誠歡迎各廠商垂詢合作。
Technology: Clay exfoliation and dispersion is a major obstacle in
polymer/clay nanocomposites manufacturing. Using the technology we
developed recently, polymer/clay nanocomposites, based on thermosets
and thermoplastic elastomers, have been successfully made with the
nanoclay highly exfoliated and randomly dispersed in matrices.
Advantages: Comparing to the market available technology, our one
has many advantages, including use of minimum organic modifier;
higher thermal stability; non-toxic and cost effective.
Applications: Polymer/clay nanocomposites offer substantially
improved barrier property to gases, water and hydrocarbons; thermal
stability and heat distortion temperature; flame retardancy and
chemical resistance. They can be used for food packaging; automobile
parts (fuel tank, engine cover and manifolds); microelectronic
packaging and medical tubing. |
