PROJECT TITLE: Java Engine IC for Mobile Devices
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The most popular means to support over-the-air (OTA) download and installation of applications on mobile devices is via the Java language and its run-time system, Java Virtual Machine (JVM), which provide portability across hardware platforms and strong security against virus. ASTRI is designing a computing architecture optimized to support Java execution on mobile devices, providing up to two orders of magnitude improvement in performance versus a software-only implementation.
