PROJECT TITLE: Advanced Video Codec (H.264) IC for Mobile Devices
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Video is one of the potential killer applications for future generations of digital mobile communication systems. The H.264 video compression standard promises drastic bandwidth saving and/or quality improvement over existing standards, but it is also extremely complicated to implement. ASTRI is developing processing algorithms and implementation techniques to efficiently realize the advantages of H.264 standard on a single IC device of low power consumption and small size for use in mobile devices.
