PROJECT
DESCRIPTION:
Existing DSL technologies (including ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+,
SHDSL, and VDSL) have been focused on optimizing performance
in a single point-to-point link of copper pair between the
Central Office (CO) and the Customer Premises Equipment (CPE)
side. One of the major impairments that limit performance of
existing DSL solutions is the crosstalk noise from adjacent
loops within the same copper binder group. The ASTRI MIMO DSL
technology development aims at eliminating crosstalk noises
between the copper pairs in use within the same binder, which
results in a substantial performance improvement over existing
DSL technologies.
