PROJECT TITLE: Intelligent Wireless Network Algorithms for WiFi-Cellular Solution
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ASTRI researchers are also developing the intelligent wireless network algorithms which use data gathered from the network to optimize the network throughput by adjusting base station parameters in a real-time basis. The data gathered from network include client signal strengths, client associations, client usage behavior, network interference and etc. And the data gathered from base stations include base station associations, operating frequency, antenna patterns, transmission power, reception sensitivity, and other base station parameters. This optimization will enhance network performance under the typical changes often experienced in a wireless network environment, such as changing interference, variable channel conditions and mobile users, and change of user data needs such as VoIP, streaming video or web surfing. ASTRI's WiFi-Cellular solution will enable WiFi-Cellular operators to provide higher quality of service to their customers.
