PROJECT TITLE: Smart Antennas for WiFi-Cellular Solution
PROJECT DESCRIPTION: ASTRI researchers are developing compact antenna arrays for WiFi-Cellular solution. With ASTRI's advanced network management system (IMS), these antenna arrays will be used in conjunction with our intelligent wireless network algorithms to optimize the network coverage and interference mitigation.Our development is focused on compact designs for both indoor and outdoor units to provide high gain, large scan angles, diversified and multi-band operations. These arrays offer much higher gain over traditional omni-antennas, and also with the ability for the antenna pattern to be steered dynamically by the base station. The designs are targeting at cost effective and high yields fabrication with minimal testing and tuning requirements.
