PROJECT TITLE: DNA and Chemical Technologies for Authentication & Assessment of Chinese Medicinal Materials

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project aims to utilize the advanced DNA Fingerprinting and other chemical technologies to generate DNA sequences, chemical profiles and markers for selected medicinal materials and their related species. The major purposes are to promote accurate authentication, quality assessment and manufacturing of high quality TCM and to improve the technologies for speedy and accurate authentication. In addition, DNA clones and chemical markers are also generated for future research and development.
