PROJECT TITLE: GengShuAn Granule as Alternative of Estrogen Replacement Therapy

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
This project aims to develop a Fu fang Chinese medicine, GengShuAn Granule (更舒安顆粒), based on an ancient prescription with over 350 years history for relieving menopausal syndrome. It will be targeted to apply for new drug license of State Food & Drug Administration (SFDA) of China, Department of Health of Hong Kong, and Investigational New Drug (IND) of FDA of US. In vivo and In vitro models showed effects similar to estrogen in anti-anxiety, anti-depression, anti-oxidation, memory and sleeping enhancement. This Project adopted advanced extraction methodologies and technologies and established quality control framework to meet the standards of Food & Drug Administration (FDA) in US & European Medicines Agency (EMEA) in Europe.
